  • Lacy: So exciting! Can't wait to hear the news!

AFW: I'm waiting. STILL! My insurance preauthorization appeal was denied with no reason why. It pretty much has wrecked my optimism and weekend ever since I learned about it on Thursday. I'm in a major funk. We will likely have to pay out of pocket and then try to get reimbursed, but I do have an HR rep at my company trying to fix it and figure things out ASAP with my insurance company. But honestly, I'm not hopeful that she will get anywhere. One of these days I'll have a happy update other than that I am just waiting around (going on months now.) This is getting super old and depressing. Maybe my embryos will ship this week? Who knows because I've been saying that for months now. :( Good luck to everyone else!

QOTW: We sure do! When DH and I were dating, we went on a trip to Oahu in 2006. We talked about our futures, and our children, and picked out names on that trip. Ah....to be young and na?ve again, sheesh. :) Boy = Ethan Harris, Girl = Samantha Lynn. And middle names will be tributes to our parents who each passed away from cancer in surprisingly similar ways. Harris was DH's dad's name and Lynn was my mom's middle name.

  • Update - Beta #1 486, Beta#2 -1006

After a weekend of hell thinking the worst I am feeling much more optimistic.  But it's just one of many hurdles for me so have to keep it real (at least until we get a heartbeat).

MelKel, you're response that you had similar spotting at the same time and freaked out made me feel so much better.  Everyone was so supportive and I really appreciate having you all on my side.

2mamaz I've got nothing but good wishes going out to you for FET tomorrow.

    Fingers crossed CeeMonkey

QOTW - Never think of names.  Just can't go there.  Too many disappointments and can't risk it yet.

  • We had all of our labs drawn last week. I can't believe we are actually moving forward with a carrier. I will feel a million times better once a legal contract is signed, but for now, I'm happy to have done something more than just sit on my hands and wait.

QOTW: We kind of have names picked out. We used to talk about it a lot during the few 2 pregnancies and we both had a couple that we really liked. After everything we've been through, I don't know if things have changed or not. I don't really think about it and probably won't until we are well into a future pregnancy.

My update:  I'm hoping I can remain on the August schedule, as I just got approved for a specialty medication and I need to take it about a month before transfer, so I "think" I'm still in the game.  Also, at my last appt. my RE mentioned trying something new (Neupogen wash), but I need to run this by the RI first.

QOTW:  DH and I have discussed various names from time to time.  We both want to honor our families, but it really depends on the gender of the child/children.  For example, if we had a girl, I would want to honor my mother by using a variation of her name.  If it's a boy, I would use a variation of DH's grandfather's name and would pick a well-used middle name from my side of the family.

Me: AMA, DOR, undetectable AMH, carrier of SMA, MTHFR homozygous C677T, high cytokines, low IGg B cells, Factor XIII V34l mutation, High Anti-Phosphatidylethanolmine, borderline hypothyroid and mildly insulin resistant.

MH: No known issues, aside from MTHFR.

Recommendations from RI: LIT, Humira, IVIG, Lovenox, Baby Aspirin, Folic Acid, Low-dose synthroid and Metformin.

Currently taking:  Pre-Natal vitamins, Foltanx, Low-dose synthroid and Metformin.

When cycling also taking: Baby Aspirin, Lovenox, Humira and IVIG.

TTC since 7/11/09..with medical intervention starting in 2010, including 4 failed IVF's and 6 failed IUI's...only "success" was a chemical pregnancy in 11/2012 (credited to use of DE).

    FET #1 (11th cycle) on 8/23/13 = BFN.

FET #2 (12th cycle) Transfer of last two (day 6) donor egg blasts on 1/22/14 = BFP, EDD = 10/10/14 (please stick little BOY!)

  • Hi, ladies!! My donor is stimming. Her retrieval will likely be Friday judging from her past cycles ... I am waiting for the latest update from my clinic as we speak. I have a lining check tomorrow morning and am a little nervous ... my clinic doesn't do mock cycles so I'm not sure how I'll be progressing. My lining was always lush in OE cycles, but who knows.

Regarding names, I have some picked out, but I'm not sure my husband will be thrilled with all of them. There would be a family component to each name, which I think would be very much appreciated by the families.

  • Waiting... Some days it feels like it'll never happen.

I have a girl's first name picked out that I'm not sure if DH will like and am scared he won't, so I haven't asked him. Stick out tongue For a boy we have a name we both like but I'm afraid the first name is becoming overused. When we first started trying we both liked Kaiden for a boy and I guess it's a good thing we didn't get PG since that name has been WAY overused. Tongue Tied

  • Hi everyone!

First of all huge hugs to everyone waiting, waiting is the worst!!!! And GL to everyone cycling! BabyVDM congrats on beta 2!!! I am happy sharing my experience helped alleviate some of your concerns. The worrying still hasn't gone away for me yet but it does get easier with time!

I will be 19 weeks tomorrow and had our monthly OB appt today. For some reason I was really anxious about it..IF brain!! But heart rate was perfect and we even heard some movement on the Doppler even though I'm not feeling movement yet, or at least I don't think I am.. We have our a/s next Mon. DH and I are beyond excited to see baby for the first time in two months. We will be finding out the sex!

Q: We have our girl name picked out, not a boy name yet. Everything in me tells me it's a girl but then again I've seen ladies say they thought the gender was for sure something and it turned out to be the other. So who knows? Stay tuned haha!

  • Today's ultrasound showed our donor has 30+ eggs.  WOOOHOOO!!!!  They are moving ER up to this week. Eeeek.  It looks like I need to rearrange travel and flights asap.

I got to skype with our donor today and "meet" her.  It was amazing.  So amazing, I have a hard time writing about the experience.  I will say I will never forget that experience- I loved her and the whole process of chatting with her.

We had a family of 4 staying with us for 3 weeks and they just left today so I've been totally preoccupied and busy with them.  Now they leave and everything moves up. Holly cow... I could be doing ET next week.  I'm not sure how that happened!

Congrats to all our ladies with good news this week!! There has been a lot of great news and it's all very exciting!!

To all of the ladies waiting for good news, please know you are all in my thoughts. The waiting is the hardest part and I hope you all get unexpected news and are able to move forward ASAP!!

Update: just waiting for our appt next Monday to sign consents...

We have been debating on how many embryos we want to put back this cycle... We are sure we will do 2 if we do a 3dt, but if we are lucky enough to do a 5dt, we are still undecided. We are terrified if this cycle fails we will have regrets, but at the same time we know the risk of multiples is to be taken seriously. We are going to discuss with our RE next week.

QOTW: we don't discuss names anymore. My H is understandably opposed to discussing anything until we are successful. When had previously decided on Gianna, but one of my bestfriends named her baby this name after she had her little cutie. Though we have agreed if we have a son, we will use my H's first name as the middle name.

  • GL to everyone cycling and hope that time flies for everyone playing that waiting game.  Congrats BabyVDM!!!  Big Hugs to all who need them.  Welcome to the new faces and everyone trying to figure out if third party repro is the path for them.

Update-Had OB apt last week, thankful everything is progressing as expected.  Scheduled 20w u/s on 7/31-hoping to find out gender then.

QOTW-We had decided on Logan Charles (mn after my Dad who passed away 5 years ago), but my sister guessed Logan right of the bat and we are wondering if it's too common.  For a girl, seriously considering Jaidyn Susan (Susan after my mom), but not yet 100% sure.  Believe it or not, there was a shooting victim on the news (a boy) whose name was Jayden....the more we thought about it the more we like it for a girl.  Do not like the spelling Jayden, do not want to encourage shortening to "Jay"
