Ok so here's the story, we started the crib transition 2 weeks ago. The most he will sleep is 3 hours in the crib. he will wake up screaming so we go in to soothe him. We try and put him in the crib and he wont go back down so we cave and put him in the RNP. He used to STTN now is waking at 12, 3, and 5/6 then will be up for the day between 8-9. he does not nurse every wakening usually only at the 3 and 5/6. I attribute some of this to a 4 month wakeful however if he just goes in the RNP he will STTN!
He's been having issues with breaking out of the swaddle so we bought the woombie. Day 2 he rolled from back to belly so no more of that. we swaddled 1 arm out last night with a scratch mit on that hand. he slept in the crib 2 hours and was up every 3 hours with the exception of a few 2 hours wakening's. We placed him in the RNP per our usual.
My question is, do we just put him in the RNP until we break the swaddle completely? Or do we continue with the crib transition and stopping the swaddle? I feel like that is a lot of change. Or do I start sleep training.? I'm so confused, sleep deprived and stressed with this transition. I don't think I will ever use the RNP again as this transition has been very difficult! Thank you ladies.
