Running/biking/fitness check-in

It's hotter than Satan's bunghole and twice as humid here.  I've been getting out about every other day but I have to get out before 630 am or risk keeling over.

No races scheduled for me, just trying keep consistent.  How's everyone else doing with the heat?

Question of the week:  If you run/workout to music, what are your current top 3 jams on your playlist?  We are all always looking for fresh beats to make our slogs a little more interesting and inspired.

Mine are:

1. Helena Beat - Foster the People

2. Dizzy - Goo Goo Dolls

3.  Lisztomania - Phoenix

I give up trying to get a ticker.  I have a DD that is 2.5 years old and is awesome.  Maybe I'll add a quote to distinguish myself.  Hmmm.  How about...

Re: Running/biking/fitness check-in

  • I don't really have any specific songs that stand out for me, but I do have my top 3 favorite genres to listen to while running:

    1. Latin (Cumbia, Tejano)

    2. Drum-and-bass

    3. Dirty hardcore hip-hop

No races scheduled as of now. Trying to maintain 9 to 9.5 miles per week.

    "To me, you are perfect."

  • 1. Ready, Steady, Go by The Meices

    2. F'uck Yeah by Scissor Sisters

  • Something to consider for treadmill running is you need to set the incline to at least 0.3% to be an equivalent workout to running outside.  The treadmill actually helps you run so setting the incline negates that help the motor gives you.

  • I try to go in the evening, I hate morning running. I go right before sunset. I don't mind the heat so much, but in this ridiculous weather I have to take DS with me so I can use his jogging stroller to keep water. I need to get on of those straps that holds the bottle in your hand for you.
    Top songs:
    1. Loaded Gun by Tyler Hilton
    2. Heart of a Champion by Nelly
    3. Prelude 12/21 by AFI
    4. Remember the Name by Fort Minor

    Anniversary

  • This is kinda stupid but I listen to We Own It by Wiz Khalifa and 2 Chains my wholeee run. I just keep starting it over Stick out tongue

It's the beginning and ending song from Fast and Furious 6. I wish I was kidding but it makes me feel like a badasss  and that way I do my running properly.
