So I really want to make my son's baby food. I just feel like it's much healthier than store bought food which will have preservatives in it to ensure shelf life. I have found an awesome website with lots of information on homemade baby food, for those of you that are also interested & want more information. www.wholesomebabyfood.momtastic.com
But for those mom's that already do homemade baby food, what machine do you use? Food processor or immersion blender? Which is best? I really want something that is easy to clean! Thanks in advance!
Re: Making your own baby food...
I love wholesomebabyfood also.
I just used my blender - no need to buy something else just for baby food. We blended the food, poured in ice cube trays, froze and then stored in ziploc bags.
Here is an article I wrote about it for a mama website I write for:

My little man at 0-1-2
I make all of our baby food for our DD, and I also use that site.
I just use my food processer. It's super duper easy to clean. I just toss it in the dish washer when done.
I'd also like to add, for those on the fence of making their own baby food, I made about a months worth of food for under $3.00.
Thank you!
I have a Daughter born 2/26/2013. She is pretty much amazing!
How do you make a whole months worth for so little money?!?
I have been on the fence about making our own and am super curious about the process and logistics of it. Guess I will have to check out this website.
The wholesome baby food website is awesome! It has lots of great information. My son is eating rice cereal right now. I am making it homemade. It's not hard at all. Just takes more time than dumping it out of a box. But, it is much healthier for them. I tried to freeze some though & the texture changed and it clumped up.
