On Friday I asked ped about testing ds2 for milk allergy based on ds2's reactions. Ped doesn't trust allergy testing this early (ds2 is 4months) but he did say to treat ds2 as having a milk allergy.
Unfortunately, ds2 got a 4oz bottle of soy/milk formula powders that I had accidentally mixed and had not trashed yet. After he stopped vomiting, I have spent a few hours snuggled with him in my bed because his body temp was low. I just checked his temp again and it was still about 2 degrees low. Would exposure to milk cause his body temp to drop like that?
Re: related???
My daughter has FPIES to milk (her twin brother had FPIES to soy, but outgrew it). Both have had vomiting, low body temperature, lethargy, limpness during a reaction.
Unfortunately, standard allergy testing doesn't test for FPIES. We do hospitalized food challenges.
I don't know if low body temperature is associated with more classic allergies.
Good luck!
