Frustrated

So I really do like my new RE, he's very knowledgeable, nice and somewhat to the point. I am however frustrated with scheduling/the office!

My new RE wanted to redo all the testing which I am okay with since my body has changed a lot (I lost 100lbs, had a miscarriage, etc) since my initial testing almost 5 years ago. RE told me specifically to book HSG, pelvic ultrasound and a follow-up all on same day. Fine and dandy but my HSG and U/S are on July 22nd and the next time they can get me in for a follow-up with RE is AUGUST 21st. A whole month later!

I tried explaining to the office (after taking 3 days and multiple messages to get back to me) that he said on the same day. Apparently he only works a few days a week and is booked solid till then. Beautiful. I know this is a top-rated clinic and all so it will likely be worth the wait but really? Ugg

That does stink. And I have zero patience so I can only imagine. Did the dr not realize he's that booked when he requested same day testing?

  • To be honest I don't know if he does know how far in advance they are booking... The nurses/receptionists handle all of that

  • That would be really frustrating. Definitely a catch-22... I  know with IF, every month wasted feels so defeating, like let's get the show on the road! But I'm sure that the appointment delays only happen for testing since it's not really as time sensitive as let's say a transfer. Once you get to that point, I'm sure they'll make your cycle a priority and you'll get it all taken care of quickly. Since it's a bigger clinic, I'm sure women who are already at that stage are getting those appointments. Gosh, you'd think with such a popular RE, he'd work more! :)

If you wanted everything done sooner could you possibly retest with your previous RE and send the results over?

I agree with KC.. I'm so impatient with this! I don't want to wait another minute. But try to keep positive. Maybe this downtime will be a nice break from the stresses of ttc. :)   Thinking of you!
