Hives help

LO must have eaten something that didn't agree with him and now he's got an irritation on his face. It basically surrounds his mouth and chin. Thought it was just from all the extra drooling with teething, but I'm not thinking so anymore. So, we're watching what he's eating now to help there, but I need suggestions on what I could do to help soothe/treat it in the meantime. Any ideas?

I don't know about treating hives, but if its around his mouth and chin, look up handfoot mouth, it's a common virus. My kiddo just got over that and he had red areas around his mouth and chin and feet and legs.

  • Thanks!  Turns out not only was it hand, foot, mouth, but also a flair up of his eczema (which has never been bad) and a secondary infection in that.
