I posted on here recently asking for recommendations on tablets, etc. Many recommended the Ipad, Kindle, etc. I didnt want to quite go that route yet. I was thinking more like a leap pad. I happened to come across a mom's board recommending the Nabi. I have never heard of it before. It got many raves. Curious if anyone on this board has had experience with it.
Re: Nabi device
Do you mind giving me an example of what you didnt care for. Or was it just the overall device? I am really trying to make a selection and I can't decide. lol
Well, what I thought I was going to like when my mom said she was getting DS one was: the case, the screen, the child friendly setup, and the free child oriented software.
But the case was annoying and kept falling off, the screen was hard to view at an angle, and most of the "free" software was introductory packages that required you to buy the full game. Like an alphabet tracing program that just had the first few letters available for free.
The layout was okay but not mind blowing. I was perturbed it made me enter my credit card number just to get it set up and then realized that the prizes it awards your child are things you have to buy. The wifi connection was very spotty, too, even though the other tablet is fine.
I was surprised how much I disliked it because when I read all the reviews they made it sound like I was going to want to steal it for myself it was so good. Not so much.
