Hello, Im a FTM and have just received a Graco Day2 night pack and play that comes with a bassinet and changing station. I feel kind of dumb asking this but I tried looking on several websites and cant find the answers.
For the bassinet do I need a mattress or pad? What kind of sheets will fit, regular bassinet sheets don't and I cant seem to find anything specifically made for this bassinet.
For the changing station do I put a regular changing pad on the bottom with a cover?
Thanks!
Re: Pack and play day 2 night
Great question. im curious what other people have done. I don't have the Graco, but we have a Fischer Price one with a changing station and it comes crappily padded "mattress" and is plastic so you can wipe up any messes. We added firm large floor pillows similar to these https://www.rakuten.com/prod/surefit-black-poly-canvas-20-in-floor-pillow/238319410.html?listingId=235682921 because the "mattress" for the sleeping portion was also really flimsy and didnt look comfortable. We covered it with a flat twin sheet. A bit ghetto rigged and by my tone you can tell I hated our PNP. Hopefully yours is much better
For the changer you can just put a waterproof pad on it. I had used a waterproof lap pad and it fit pretty well. Just check the dimensions of everything and you can see what size to get.
Not sure what you could do with the bassinet. Your best bet is to call Graco and see what they say.
We aren't getting one with a changer, so not sure what to do about that. I think they are just made to use as-is, although I'm sure you could put some sort of waterproof pad on there. Since you are having "hands-on" baby when using this, you can probably do whatever you want as long as it's stable enough to use.
I believe the bassinet portion is also meant to use as-is, although maybe you can put a PnP-sized mattress in there....not sure. As for when you use the PnP without the raised bassinet, you can get a mattress. We're registered for this one b/c we plan to have baby room-in with us using the PnP until STTN:

We're also registered for PnP sheets:

We bought the following sheet for the pad that is in the bassinet. Our baby was drooling too much and the sheet makes clean up much easier.
