2 vessel Cord update.

ok, so we had our scan with the specialist. Good news: We have two healthy kidneys. Baby girls is growing on track and there were no additional soft markers for concern of chromosomal abnormalities. We have opted out of the amnio to be certain.

Bad-ish news: While they see 4 chambers for the heart, the tech could not see the function of one of the chambers. I am going to be honest. I have no idea what this really means and I have no interest in freaking myself out. She tried for 45 minutes to get babyG to move, she wouldn't budge. We are assuming at this point that its more of a "didn't see it b/c of angle" and not that it isn't there. However, they are sending us to fetal heart specialist next week to look further into the heart concerns. If there are any issues, they will be providing us with care and information.

 

So, as of now, we are just fine. We will do growth ultra sounds every month to make sure she is growing and developing appropriately.

I wouldn't worry about it.  they can't always get a good look at everything.  my LO didn't want to cooperate during the fetal echo but they determined that everything was fine eventually lol  she wanted to stay curled up right next to my hip the entire time.  that was at 24ish weeks?  I'm 34 weeks now and she has a strong heart and valves.  not to worry you but during my growth scan at 32 weeks they did find a spot on her kidney which my OB said could turn into an obstruction or it could not. trying not to worry but I'll feel much better when she's in my arms.
