Telling parents! Advice needed!

So, I'm very close with my mom and wanted to tell my parents like 1.5 weeks ago when I found out, but DH is against it until we have our first us on the 31st! Its driving me nuts!! I'm my moms only biological child she had 5 mc so I know she would want to know ASAP!! The reason he wants to wait is so then we can tell both families on the 4th after my brother in laws wedding. My question is... Is it bad that we tell my family early and not his until after the wedding?

No...do what feels right. 

We try and keep things "fair" between our parents, but that's pretty much impossible. We told DH's mom last night and will be telling my parents tonight, which will include my siblings, but DH's brother doesn't know yet...it's just life.

Also, I agree with you wanting to tell your parents now. I had a mmc in my last pregnancy and it helped so much that our parents knew what we were going through. I can't imagine having gone through it all alone. So either way-there is no reason not to tell them early on IMO.

I agree that you should do what feels right to you ... As long as it's not the weekend of the wedding (or gosh, at the reception!), I think you're fine to tell them without stealing any thunder.

We are not telling his brother and sister in law until we are past our first trimester - they have 3 young kids and I am nervous that if something happens, it will be difficult to explain to them that we are no longer having a baby.  Luckily, we live 3 provinces, and 2900km/1800mi away. I called my mom the minute I had a positive HPT, but by dad was out of town, and we told his mom and dad 2 days later. Then my dad when he got back. My sister and brother in law know too. 

I don't think it really is bad. It is YOUR baby and your body. I will never feel as close to my inlaws as my own parents.

I didn't tell my mom last time until 13 weeks! There was a lot going on in her life my dad died, when I told her she said I better tell her sooner next time lol. I think we are telling her this weekend. You gotta do what feels right! I don't think there is a right or wrong answer!

The wedding is Saturday, we were going to invite the family over on Sunday after the gift opening and tell them since many of them live very far away. Is that too soon after the wedding?
