MW Recommendation

I'm 11 weeks with my first and really want to switch to a MW but there seem not to be any in my area. There is one birth center but I've read horrible things about them. Anyone know of MW in the Sonoma, Ca area. It's looking like I'm going to have to travel an hour to San Fran to get the kind of care.

      Why is it that you are choosing to change over to a midwife? Home birth, natural birth...? If you want a natural birth but are okay going to a nearby hospital, a Doula may be a good option to look into as well. At the very least it's another type of person to look for in your area that can help you have the birthing experience you want. I'm sorry that I can't be more helpful, but good luck! 

      Also, maybe go to the birth center near you personally and see what kind of vibe you feel. At the very least they may have some information on local midwives!
