This saturday we are having family pictures taken. I have 4 children 10,7,13 months and 2 months. I really want to have a pose with the 2 youngest for the nursery(they share) but having a hard time coming up with one since the youngest cant sit up yet. I know the photographer might have an idea but thought I would ask you ladies with older irish twins what you might do. The photographer said she had an old crate and a suitcase to put the little one in. Or I was even thinking about just having them laying on a blanket on the grass somehow. I don't know. Any other ideas?
Re: 2u1 photo ideas
I've noticed a trend lately where the mom props up LO with her hand to make him/her appear to be sitting up on their own, and then the mother gets photo-shopped out of the final picture. That'd be a more professional route though.
if i were you - i'd keep them as natural as possible. you want to remember how close in age they were and how similar they were still at this age. if you have them too posed and sitting up while propped up it won't be as nice of a memory as having them laying on a blanket in the grass or both maybes slightly 'propped' up but more leaning on something so they're a little more sitting up.
but i think laying down would be cute!
do you have a special blanket?
What about having the photographer shoot them from above? It seems like I've seen some cute shots of kids laying together, maybe head to head or heads next to each other but facing opposite directions, with the camera taking a closeup bird's eye view.
Can the 13 month old safely hold the 2 month old in his or her lap?
Maybe some nice candids of them just snuggling and playing together? Sometimes the best pictures happen by accident.
We don't have a special blanket but we do have one that would look cute in photos. I do want a more natural shot and with the little one not sitting yet that would be best.
I thought about the birds eye view with heads together but my 13 month old does not like laying down very much. And he is not too fond of his little brother yet so having him hold him would not work.
I guess I will just let the photographer try some things. Thanks for the ideas tho ladies.
