So I have a problem that I'm not real sure is a problem, but would appreciate any input.
E has always been a very alert and active baby. She never stops moving and is not a big fan of naps.
So the problem is, is that she never "settles". When she's being held, she'll push against my chest with her hands or she's kicking her legs and swinging her fists around. Not in anger, just that she doesn't stop moving. If she's sitting on our laps, she's arching her back and bouncing off of our legs.
Last night I had to pin her arms and legs against her body while a rocked her to sleep because she was keeping herself awake. And when I'm nursing her, she'll nurse but be bouncing herself off my stomach with her legs. It is not relaxing for either of us.
So I'm not really sure if we have a problem or if she just has a lot of energy. I do drink coffee in the morning but it doesn't interfere with her sleeping.
Any ideas? I'm a bit worried for when she's more mobile because I know I'll be spending my time making sure she's not running into traffic or jumping off of roofs.
Maybe she's over or under stimulated and getting the energy out in other ways? I just don't know.

Re: Any advice welcome
I know that some kids are just naturally more energetic. But you can try doing more exercising with her. Does she have a bouncer or exersaucer or something like that? Maybe you just need to wear her out a little bit.
Try nursing right when she wakes up or right before she goes to sleep so she's sleepy and not quite as rambunctious during the nursing session.
Sounds like you have a "sparkler" on your hands.
Good luck!
^ what she said.
My son is the same way. Get a bouncer or saucer. He loves his bouncer and goes crazy in it. As you can see from the pic below (he's in said bouncer) I have a mischievous one

Yes, diaper changes are becoming quite the ordeal. She doesn't have time to waste getting her stinking diaper changed.
As far as the carrier, she loves it, it's just been way to hot to wear her. We don't have AC in the house, so we both get pretty sweaty and uncomfortable.
And good idea for the exersaucer. I forgot that I had bought one and it got shoved to the back of the closet. I put her in it this afternoon and she loved it.
Thanks for the suggestions!
oh my gosh I love his picture!
OP it's normal don't worry!
