Help w email wording

Hey ladies,

Ok this may be stupid. I am trying to write an email to let my extended family (aunts, cousins, uncles) know that we are expecting. I really want them to hear it directly before it's on FB.

But I am really struggling with wording. I don't want to include an attachment that tells them. And I find I can only draft emails thatpretty much  just blurt it out like "hey guys, i'm pregnant." lol so I need to make it sound a little nicer.

You ladies have a way with words... what's a nice simple way to word this in an email (it doesn't have to be too personal cuz it's being sent to many people).

    Maybe something short and sweet?:

    We want to share some exciting news with all of you. <Insert YH/SO name> and I are expecting our first child in January 2014. We are over the moon excited about our upcoming addition and wanted you all to be some of the first to know!

    I would say something like...

    Hi Everyone!

    We hope this email finds you well.  We have some exciting news to share and, although we wish we could tell you in person, we did want to make sure that you heard it directly from us, before it was announced elsewhere.  

    We are happily expecting Baby _____ due in January! 

    The pregnancy has been going well so far and we are very eager to meet our little one.  We are very excited to welcome them into our wonderful family!  

    Looking forward to introducing you to Baby ____ in the new year.

    Hi all,

    I hope this summer is treating you all well. We are certainly enjoying every ray of sunshine and keeping our weekends full! I wanted to send you all a quick note to share some news with you before we went public. DH and I are expecting a baby in January! We are so excited and looking forward to parenthood so much. I'll be posting this news to Facebook in a couple of weeks. Hope you all are doing well.

    As always amazing advice. Thanks girls - I hate writing my own things (I had my friend write my email to tell my work, aside from my boss who already knew) and I just copy+pasted. I will do the same from the email suggestions below and work them into one :)

    Thanks so much. Much better than what I was thinking with my writer's block haha.
