Breakfast: Yogurt or oatmeal (1-2tbsp) with 2 ice cube sized fruit purees OR 1 egg scrambled with cheese OR 2 mini pancakes and some cut up fruit.
Lunch: Totally varies...usually some sort of leftovers that we had for dinner. So several pieces of sauteed zucchini and some pieces of roasted chicken, for example. OR a cheese stick and some orzo.
Dinner: Again, totally varies...he's loving these quinoa spinach fritters that I made him, so he can have 1.5-2 of those. Or I might do a scrambled egg with broccoli and cheese if he didn't have it for breakfast. And usually end with some cut up fruit again.
ETA this is what I put on his plate..doesn't mean he finishes all of it! I don't force him to finish everything, like I said I take the food away when he no longer seems as interested in it. The only thing he finishes without fail is fruit--he is obsessed with fruit.
i'm trying to get away from the purees as much as possible now since he seems to love feeding himself. I generally stop the meal when he turns his face away and starts trying to eat his high chair.
We do 2 "meals" a day. Whatever puree I have in the fridge. She doesn't really eat much of it... maybe 5 spoonfuls each meal. I really want to get her started on some finger foods, but it is hard with all of her sensitivities.
10:30ish: store bought fruit puree, usually the whole 3.5oz tub.
Noonish: a few puffs and a few bites of whatever lunch I am having which usually includes some form of protein.
1:00ish: 8oz formula
2:00ish: more puffs or chopped fruit
2:30 or 3ish: big afternoon nap
5:30ish: a tub of veggie puree if supper is too far off. Otherwise she will eat whatever I made for supper. She always has at least a few bites off my plate either way.
8ish: 8oz formula
After 7 years of no ovulation... BFP#1 10/24/11 ~ EDD 6/29/12 ~ Natural m/c 11/2/11 BFP#2 2/3/12 ~ Alice born 9/26/12
As far as solids go Ashley has a bottle when she wakes up then about half hour to an hour later she has a puree, usually half a container and maybe 5 cheerios. She eats the Gerber organics out of the plastic containers. Then she eats her second puree around 4:30-5:30. If we are out eating we give her little pieces of what we are eating but we haven't ventured too far with that.
He is in Daycare M-F but I'm keeping him on the same schedule that daycare has on the weekends, but he gets more bottles on the weekends as he doesn't want them at daycare.
7:30 am - 6 oz bottle formula
9:30 am - 3.5 oz tub of store bought purees, usually fruit
11:30am - 6 oz bottle of formula
1:00pm - baby mum mum or handful of puffs
2:30pm- 2Tbs of rice cereal and more puffs
4:30pm - 6oz formula (only on the weekends)
6:15 pm dinner 3.5 oz of store bought vegetable purees with 2 Tbs of rice cereal
7:30 - 8pm 6oz formula before bed.
I have not given him the pureed meat unless it is mixed in like the turkey dinner with rice and vegetable because I think the store bought mixed meat jars look disgusting. He usually has a few bites of my plate but he is not interested in feeding himself alot yet.
Wake up, bottle of formula, nap. At this point on weekdays, the nanny is here.
Another bottle, nap. Then the nanny usually feeds her a pouch or Gerber square of puree, followed by water. Another bottle later, maybe another nap. Maybe another bottle.
I get home, feed her another puree and 2-3 puffs or yogurt melts for 'dessert'. Water. Bottle (sometimes she refuses it). Then she eats some of what we are eating for dinner, followed by more water.
Bottle (or two, or three) while putting her to sleep.
On weekends she gets a lot more people food because we pretty much always give her a little of what we are eating.
I like how you call it people food like she is a dog and not a people lol
DS is 8 months and 3 days ( he's the youngest here).
we do solids 3x a day, but sometimes I skip lunch if we are out and about.
6:30am wakeup/nurse
7:30am b'fast - fresh seasonal fruits (4-5 strips of mango, or 1/2 peach) sometimes he gets 1/4 of a muffin in addition.
10am nurse before nap
12noon nurse when wakes up from nap
1:30pm lunch - 2T oatmeal (regular oatmeal, not oatmeal cereal) mixed with fruits and 1T full fat yogurt. Plus more fruits (more mangoes, or 1/2 kiwi). Sometimes we skip oatmeal/yogurt and I give him a couple strips of my egg & cheese sandwich
3pm nurse before nap
5:30pm nurse
6:30pm dinner we do BLW for dinner so I just give DS whatever we are having that night. Some nights he'll eat a lot, some nights he'll barely touch anything. I made a crustless Swiss chard quiche tonight and he ate a good amt of that! He also gets about 2 inches of banana for dessert after dinner.
