I have an Ergo sport with infant insert, a Moby, and a ring sling. I dislike the Moby because it's too hot, stretchy, and cumbersome. I dislike the ring sling because it squishes baby's feet in weird ways and doesn't feel secure enough to me. I really like the structure of the Ergo save for the annoying infant insert.
That said, my first hated to be worn so I only used the Ergo about 20 times. I'm on my second baby now and have tried the Ergo with insert twice and he screamed both times.
I'm thinking of getting a different soft structured carrier. Do you think that would help? I'd like something that is relatively easy to put on, not overly stuffy, will support a newborn's legs and feet well but can be used in the early toddler months. Bonus points if I can wear baby forward facing BC both of my kids get bored extremely quickly and love new sights. I don't care about extra pockets or attached hoods on carriers...I always wear jeans with pockets and I can just put a hat on baby if necessary.
Thanks!

Re: Which carrier is best for us?
Have you tried the ring sling with feet out?
The Beco Gemini has no newborn insert, you simply fold the base to make it narrower. And it is usable forward facing.
Thanks for your input, everyone. I came thisclose to getting a Beco Gemini but decided to get DH's input at the last minute. He strongly voted for the Beco Butterfly II due to the infant insert. He thinks that's what our DS2 will tolerate best in terms of getting him in/out of the carrier. So that's what I got.
While I was researching carriers, I read that forward-facing isn't the best position for baby in terms of ergonomics, so I'm okay with not being able to do it with the Beco Butterfly II.
I bought it from Amazon so I should be able to return it if we don't like it. Fingers crossed that it works out! My arms could use a break.
