My daughter has had swollen lymph nodes in her groin area for over a month. We thought it was related to her mmr since the nodes swelled a week after getting the shot in the same leg. Well we have tried 2 antibiotics and last night another node turned up on the other side. We took her back to the doc this morning and had blood work done. They are testing for mono and lymphoma. Tonight I was checking her neck and the left side is tender. She had swollen nodes at 6 months and one lump never went away. They told us it had probably scarred and not to worry but now....... All this while pregnant has me going mad! Trying to stay away from google.

    I am so sorry. I hope everything turns out okay for your DD. I can not imagine the stress you are feeling right now. Hugs.

    My daughter had swollen lymph nodes in her groin walnut size and the next day her neck like like a bunch of grapes. Took her in and 3 d later got called that she tested positive for mono. : let her rest and hydrated her and she recovered well.
    Does she have any other symptoms? Fatigue? Fevers? Night sweats?

    Stay away from google!!

    She doesn't have any other symptoms. Today the doctor said that her throat was red. But it hadn't been until today. She has tons of energy. Her appetite is fine.

    Stay away from Google! Wait to talk to the doctors.....They have to be thorough and make sure it's not anything worse but with a sore throat it sounds like it could just be mono....but you will make it 10 times worse if you start googling! 

    I'll be praying for good news from the doctor for your DD and that this all clears up soon!

    NO CANCER!! Or Mono. Which leaves us with nothing to go on and another node turned up today!! And her neck is sore. I think I am going to request a biopsy. It is just a needle aspiration. I would rather not waste anymore time in the event that something is really wrong. Obviously it isn't going to just go away.
