Terrified!

Hi guys,

I guess I just need a little advice.  I have a son who is 14 months old and I am 24 weeks pregnant with our second son.  We are due in November which would put the boys at 18 months apart.  Please tell me this is doable!  I am scared to death and need some reassurance from you moms who have been through this.  I know this is happening regardless, but I need something to help me focus on!

Thanks for your help!

  • My sons are 22 mos apart and it's honestly been easier than I thought, and I SAH. I think it really varies because all kids are different, all babies are different. You will get into your own routine, don't be scared!

This, but my boys are 18 mo apart, it was a great transition and today are really great together. Obviously it wasn't too bad since we are doing it again but this time they will be 19ish mo apart. It'll be fine!

  • My boys are 18 months apart and DS2 & LO3 will be 18 months again. I think it's the perfect age. Even though DS1 is 2.5 and DS2 is about to turn one, they totally love each other and they play together constantly. DS2 has reached his milestones faster since he wants to do everything big brother does, and big brother loves to shoe DS2 new things and to teach him.

It will be hard the first five months or so, but it's totally worth it. You're setting your kids up to be friends for life - it's a very special gift that you are providing. GL!
