I'm 50/50. I'm scared to take the test - cause what if it says negative. I feel like I dont want to take a bunch of tests and get disappointed and discouraged... But I want to take it cause I think I am... anyone else with me on this?
I wouldn't say afraid, but I do dread the possibility of a BFN (all I've gotten so far). I just try to think about how great it'll be to get a BFP someday, easier said than done some days.

Yes there have been some months when I didn't test at all because I didn't like the negatives.

Yes, I understand how it can be nerve-wracking at first. This was our first cycle TTC; I've gotten only negative HPT results thus far, and it is disappointing.
However, I am realistic and I know it will eventually happen, when the time is right.
Prepare yourself to accept either result and it will make the process much easier on you. Few things worthwhile come easy.
Ohh! I'm so glad... my mother thinks I'm crazy. She doesn't get it. Thanks Lovely ladies... I do feel better... I have an annual doctor apt on the 30th, so I might take one on the morning of. I'd like to find out with a at home test instead of in a doctors office. We are only 3 weeks in (since I stopped taking BC). So I know it's highly unlikely that I am... maybe just wishful thinking. Thanks Ladies! *hugs*
I stopped testing months ago. Not because I was afraid, but because the whole thing is draining. Now I'll wait until my period is late and temps are still up. I get more sleep this way.
Im not so much afraid of the test itself and the positive and negative result but more about all the things that must be done once I get a positive. Im definitely a type A personality so the lists I will want to make and the uncontrollability of the situation is a lot more stressful. Im sure once im a few months in though the testing will become more daunting.

This is what I need to do. I tend to test before my period is due. Even when I get a BFN I delude myself into thinking maybe it's just too early. Then my period comes a day or two later and I'm disappointed again.
But to answer OP's question, I'm not so much scared to take a test, but I do get really shaky and nervous every time I take one.
This. I alway test early and I know better, but I just can't help it!
