You can dismiss anything that shows up as an announcement--hover over the little gear symbol that appears near the title and hit dismiss and it will disappear.

when you hover over the post title, a little wheel gear symbol shows up next to the star, and you can click "dismiss" and it will go away.

Some of the boards are showing a "not found" error. Does that mean they were deleted? And I dragged out the laptop to delete the notes, with no luck. I did notice they are sticking me with the winter Mysterious Family siggy again. I think the bump gods love it. It took me over a year to get it to change and now it is back again.
