Dear DH,

I know new phases in life are overwhelming for you so I had some initial sympathy but now, I am not impressed, or patient, or understanding. I do every single daycare drop off, pick up, late night errand, pick up the groceries on week nights, drive you wherever you need to go on weekends - so, no you're not doing me any "favors" when you wake up with DD, get her ready in the mornings, and pack up our bags. You're doing some small fraction of the work needed to get your daughter out the door on time even though you don't drive. This week you have been MIA 3 times - haven't put LO to bed, haven't done a load of laundry or load of dishes, didn't get her ready this morning and the cherry on top of it all is that you blamed my hitting snooze on my alarm for you refusing to get out of bed this morning (even though you fell asleep at 8:30pm last night while I put DD to bed) and making me late. You also had the nerve to complain that the clutter around the house is causing your inertia. Let me break out the world's tiniest violin for you and chuck it at your head. Get it together now.

Last I checked, I wasn't a single mother to your child.

July has been really rough so far--originally my family was so excited that the baby was going to bring healing to the month of July, as my died died July 20th 2003 and his birthday is July 22nd. So there's an extra sadness in the month with that. Thankfully, I have a wonderful therapist. And great support systems--including you ladies and the ladies of the Loss board. 

Keep posting pictures of your babes--I'll be lurking now and again when I can to share in your joy.  Know that every time I have a cheese puff, I'm thinking of my July 13 family!
