smiling then looking away

If I look at my baby and smile while baby is looking at me, baby will turn face away from me while smiling back, like the baby is being shy.

Any body's baby does this thing?

Yes! She started doing this every once in a while about 2 weeks ago. She only seems to do it to me, and only while someone else is holding her. She buries her smiling face in their chest. It is so freaking cute I love it!

E does this to other ppl when I'm holding him- he'll burry his face in my shoulder/chest like he's being shy. (I love it) and if someone tries to take him out of my arms he'll do the same thing. :-)  I'm his favorite! Hehe.

DD does this too. I read somewhere that when they get overstimulated, tired, or overwhelmed by emotion they'll look away or bury their heads. So clearly they love us so much they can't stand to look at us ;

Lol! My DS does this too. So freakin cute. He's been doing the shy smile and he bats his long eyelashes...adorable...for a long time. But the burying his face in my shoulder just started. I love it!

That's so funny! E does this with DH and I watch, she will stare at him as though she is inspecting him and when he looks at her and she looks away quickly like he caught her doing something she didn't want him to know about. They play a game of it. It's so cute that she is amorous towards him.

My DD does this, too. Mostly to daddy and to her friend in the mirror. I LOVE when she does it, so bashful.
