Citi Mini or Brittax B Agile as jogging strollers?

Anyone have experience using the City Mini or Britax BAgile as a jogging stroller? I'm not an avid runner, and want something for more daytoday city use, and I know the manual says these models aren't for jogging, but just wondering if anyone HAS used them and what you think?

I'm confused as to why you would buy a stroller that specifically says it is not for jogging with the intent to jog with it. I have a City Mini and while it is a great stroller the wheels do have the tendency to get caught in uneven sidewalk cracks. Very potentially dangerous. If I were going to run with DD I would want something with a more all-terrain wheel.

If you intend to run, I'd get a BOB. They are great for everyday use and for jogging as well.

Neither are meant for jogging.  However, I got the Britax because it was only another $150 when bought with the car seat.  So far I really like it.  There aren't any reasons that I can see that would make the City Mini worth the extra money.  I plan to just get a BOB if/when I decide to jog with DD.

However, I got caught in a BAD storm a  couple of weeks ago (horrible forecasting job!) and ran with the Britax, in really heavy rain, over horrible sidewalks, for almost half a mile.  It did the job and when we got home, I was soaked 100 times over but baby was dry!  (I had her in there in the car seat carrier.)

    Hope that helps!

  • Neither are technically meant for jogging or running.  That being said though, I researched strollers about 4 months after my son was born.  I was looking for a stroller that I could use as an every day stroller as well as use to walk/jog with.  I figured if I truly started running, like running miles everyday, I will invest in a bob ironman.  I didn't look at the britax but did look at a city mini gt, city mini elite and bob revolution.  I ended up with a city mini gt.  It is lighter than the elite and the wheels are smaller than the bob making it easy to tote around and put in my trunk as needed.  I started the cs5k about 6 weeks ago and have been running a little under 2 miles a day at least 3x a week now with the city mini.  It works perfect for what we need it for and my son loves it!
