Babies: 6 - 9 Months

Jumpers

Hi ladies! My LO is only 9 weeks old, but I'm shopping for a jumper for her for when she's a little older. I was hoping you might have some recommendations! There are so many to choose from. So far I have looked at the jumperoo, the exersaucer jumper, and the baby Einstein one. Are there others I should consider?

I did already buy a doorway jumper, so really just shopping for one of the activity center things.

Re: Jumpers

  • We love our baby Einstein jumperoo! She wanted to be upright at 12 weeks and wouldn't tolerate laying on the floor, in the bouncer, etc. This thing was a life saver! We wrapped a blanket around her belly to give her trunk support for awhile, and put blankets under her feet til she could touch the floor. She's 7 months old now and is only on the second setting for height, so we'll still get good use out of it for at least a few more months... Hopefully til she walks!

  • I think there are pros and cons to any of them, my biggest advice would be to buy one on consignment or from a reputable online source...my DD LOVES her jumper, but it retailed for $90 and I don't think she'll fit in it long enough to get that much use out of it. I bought it from a coworker for $30 so I feel much better about her only wanting to use it for a few months until she outgrows it/learns to walk and doesn't want to be contained in it

  • My little guy has this one and it is amazing how much he loves it.  https://www.amazon.com/Fisher-Price-Discover-n-Grow-Jumperoo/dp/B0080D5982/ref=sr_1_4?s=baby-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1373393797&sr=1-4&keywords=jumperoo

I only let him spend about 10-15 mins at a time in it, but he could probably sit in there for over an hour if I would let him.  He loves jumping, and he plays with the toys all around it.  Fisher Price makes a whole line of them (different designs) and all of my friends that own them for their children swear by them.  Congrats on your daughter, she is a cutie!

All of this. Love this one! If I am lucky, I can workout the whole time she is there or get through dinner. Also, shop around on this one cause prices vary at multiple places.

  • We have the Fisher Price Rainforest one, we got it gently used from a friend of ours for half what we would have paid at the store. He LOVES it. We started him in it at 5 months because he had great head control and loved to stand while being supported. Now he jumps so hard in it I'm a little afraid it will break LOL!

    Henry Cavill...You're welcome!

  • We have the Baby Einstein jumperoo and our son loves it. He never liked sitting down or laying down too much so this thing totally was worth the money. we put him in around 2 1/2 months with a blanket around him to support him and he loved it. and still does. that one has 4 different height settings so he can use it for awhile. Deff a good investment

We have the same jumper for DS. He started using it on the lowest setting when he was 4 months old. We bought it on craigslist for a third of the price for a new one. Since he is crawling and pulling up now he is not as interested in it; however, he was using it several times a day for awhile there. Probably the best investment we have made so far as far as baby gear!
