New kitchen

So, our kitchen is ripped out. It's in shambles. We've had nothing but problems with Lowes and the guy that was installing for us. I'm pretty sure he does meth because I can't explain his actions otherwise. Anyway, we fired him yesterday. We hired my friends husband. I'm sure he's going to be more expensive.

So, here's a good decorating question.

We had a problem ordering our sink. We are left with two options. Keep in mind, the cabinets are cream colored, the countertop is dark chocolate colored, appliances are stainless. The sink will be farmhouse style.

DH wants a stainless farmhouse sink AND dark knobs and drawer pulls. I said that's a no can do. If we get a stainless sink, only stainless hardware will look good.

I want a white farmhouse sink. If the sink is white then the darker fixtures and knobs will look good.

Which would you choose?

Btw, this is a first world problem all of the way.

I also had to google it for some visuals, but I definitely vote for the white sink.

I thought the cream cabinets with white sink would be ugly too. But the more pictures I look at, the better I think it looks. Maybe I can post some from the laptop later, I'm on mobile now.

I never thought of the stainless as looking like a hospital. Maybe ill make that part of my argument, haha.

Cream cabinets looks good with the white farmhouse sink. I'm not a big fan of the stainless ones regardless of color of cabinets.

Have you considered brushed nickel? That goes really well with cream cabinets.

My fist choice would be white sink, dark knobs. Second choice stainless sink, dark knobs. I think mixing finishes is fine in the kitkitchen hang in there. My kitchen Reno while pg made me almost lose my mind.

Do you intend to keep the cabinets cream? I really need a photo to judge properly since kitchen colors are all kinds of weird out here (I mean, I really don't get some local trends.) But I digress, I mostly agree with you on the hardware. Besides, it is your kitchen so you should get to choose, lol.

I wasn't sure what you meant by farmhouse style so I googled. The vast majority of the pictures I got back showed white sinks with light coloured cabinets. Sounds to me like Google Search just declared you a winner
