Not sure if loving or evil little butthead....

So, James and Simon are getting great at entertaining each other... They get up on their hands and knees in their crib or playpen or the floor or what not, facing each other, and James will make growling sounds to get Simon to laugh, which gets James smiling and growling more. They will do this over and over again. BUT, now that James is able to move around independently, we have a bizarre issue - if Simon is laying down and starts crying for any reason, James will hop his way over to him, and start grabbing Simon's mouth over and over again. I don't know if he's doing this to try to comfort him, to feel it, or to try and shut him up! It made me laugh the first couple of times, but I'm trying to get him to stop doing it because it's not exactly a good habit, regardless of what cognitive or instinctive reasons his little brain might have lol

  • That's funny!

Jacob will roll to Sam when he fusses and I think he is trying to rub his head but instead smacks him.  Or he will grab Sam's hand which pisses Sam off royally.  I love that they are starting to interact but I wish they were gentler towards each other lol.
