Teething and bedtime

Hi Ladies-

DD is getting her molars.  One is completely through, one is almost all the way in, and the bottom 2 are just barely poking through.  I feel like we have been giving motrin or Tylenol off and on for about a week, which I don't really like doing.  Do you have any advice on other ways to ease her pain, particularly at bedtime?  If we give her teethers, she seems soothed but will play with them and not go to sleep.  What is the longest that you have had to deal with teething pain using medicine?

I have been giving my little guy Tylenol or Advil nightly for several weeks now as well.  I alternate between the two so he doesn't get too much of either.  I am going to ask the doctor whether this is ok at the visit we have later in the week for his one year.  He just started getting his first tooth a few weeks ago, but 6  have now come in at once so he is pretty miserable.  I try to not give him the Tylenol or Advil during the day though unless he is really upset.  I know it is probably safe, but I do worry about any long-terma harmful effects in a baby so young.  I find that the Orajel swabs help too but they are so hard to put on his gums as he fights it the whole time.  You basically need someone to hold his mouth open and someone to put it on the gums.  He won't use any type of teether.

Hyland teething tablets are homeopathic and will help except when it's extreme.. then we use a half does of advil.

Where do you buy these?  I think they were pulled from the market for awhile.  Last time I spoke with a nurse at my pedi's she said she wasn't sure they were back out yet.
