My son is 3 months old. I work part time as a server. Our best friends just had a son who is our godson : they just asked if I would be willing to watch him when she goes back to work in September. My son will be 6 months by then my godson will be 2 months. My question is how much should I charge? She said it would be around 15 hours a week. I don't want to charge them what a daycare would because he is my godson I'm trying to help them out. But I still need to make some money especially if I can't work as a server anymore. I'm just not sure what the rate for child care is. Anyone that does child care at home or pays for child care that can tell me would be great thanks.
I'm starting back to work part time in a few weeks, and my sister in law will be watching my 4 month old DS along with her 9 months DS. We've decided on $25 a day as well. It's not a lot, but it was a good fit for us
Re: How much to charge for childcare???
We pay our in home sitter $25 a day and I consider it a steal.
ETA: And we provide all diapers, wipes, formula, etc.
