Hi everyone
I am new to the site and thought I would ask a question I have. My husband and I are trying to conceive- Wondering if anyone has used the ovulation predictor sticks and had any success with them.
I just started utiizing them this month and I am not seeing a strong color change. The ovulation calendar says my fertile time is right now however the ovulation stick is not really changing color as the insert says it should.
Any suggestions?
Wishing everyone luck!

Thank you! I will try that. I appreciate your help and advice!
Don't use FMU, the surge usually happens later in the morning so can't be caught first thing in the morning. Most of us who've been using OPKs for a while now test twice a day at least, say lunch time and again around supper time. If I'm getting darker and darker tests and I think I'm close to O'ing, I might even take another one before bed time. You should buy some Wondfos from amazon, they're cheap so that you can test more per day and not break the bank.
Lastly, if you really want to pinpoint ovulation you should really start temping and charting - get an account with Fertility Friend, it's free and it has wonderful tutorials to help you with the charting process. It also has an app you can install on your phone, in fact I almost exclusively use my app rather than my computer. Other ovulation calendars are crap, they don't take in and actually analyze the data you enter as FF does, they just guess based on average cycles. If there's anything I've learned, very few women's cycles are 'average'!

All ALers welcome!
ditch the ovulation calendar. It's guessing. Many women don't ovulate on day 14, it can vary quite a bit.
As others said, check out fertility friend and learn how to chart. That is the best thing to do, and you can use OPK's (consider Wondfo brand online, they are cheaper) to back up your charting.
best of luck!

I used Clear Blue Digital this month. They are expensive but they clearly tell you when you have your surge. I was using the dollar tree tests, but I got tired of trying to decipher whether the line was lighter or darker.
I agree with testing twice a day. I had a positive on a digital OPK at 10 PM once! It had been negative earlier in the day.
Good luck!
