What are they up to these days?
DD is still not walking around the house on her own. She can walk about 5-10 steps, sometimes 15 or so if you don't look at her because if you are watching her she gets excited after about 5, then waves her arms so much she falls over. I think she'll be going before the end of the summer though.
She's getting to be a good little mocking bird. She'll point things out for us to say what they are and then repeat the word we say. She's pretty close for most of them too.
4 front teeth now, 2 on bottom and 2 on top. The 2 next to the 2 front teeth starting to cut through.
Re: May 2012 Babies
DD is walking as much as possible, and when she falls over she'll get up on her knees and walk around the house that way, instead. She's not saying any words yet, but she talks up a storm all the time! She loves to stir things, happiest when you give her a spoon and cup . She's transitioning to the toddler room at dc, which is awesome because it'll save us $25 a week!. Bedtime is great at night, two books and she asks to go to her crib, puts herself to sleep. Naps at home on the weekends are another story and generally involve 10 minutes of crying before she'll calm down and go to sleep (which is still awesome). She's definitely signing more and has started nodding/shaking her head and pointing at things.
7 teeth, four on top and three on the bottom. Tooth 8 is about to make an appearance!
Married DH 7/30/11
CSC arrived 5/7/12
CHC arrived 6/2/14
DD has been able to climb up the stairs for a couple of months, but finally just figured out how to climb down them on her belly, which makes me feel much better (although it's not like we're going to let her climb them without one of us right behind her, but just on the off-chance that we accidentally leave the gate open or something).
She still isn't walking on her own, but has been letting go and standing for a few seconds a lot more often recently and we're pretty sure she could walk but is still just too nervous (when she realizes she's not holding on to anything, she freaks out and reaches out to grab something with a panicked look on her face). We started gym classes with her, so hopefully that will help to build her confidence a little!
We are getting the 4 top front teeth in right now but they are taking a while. He's been a trooper through it though.
We are going through a stage where he won't eat the things he normally does and would rather have puffs and milk. But he is starting to come back to it.
DD is a great little walker these days. She is still a little wobbly at times but for the most part she is doing great. She is babbling a lot but still hasn't said too many words. She still calls everything "Dad". She is starting to comprehend more which is super exciting. Still not STTN and I think she's starting to switch to one nap a day. If she naps twice then her first nap is usually only 20 mins long.
She still is on purees and a few select soft foods. I've been introducing new foods left and right and she just isn't interested. I just want her to expand her variety to get the proper nutrition she needs. Frustrating!
Overall she is a joy and such a handful at the same time, lol.
LOL! DD does this too. If she doesn't know what something is, or can't pronounce it when I tell her what it is, then it's "dada".
