I have mixed feelings on the spelling of this name.

I feel like Lindsay is more feminine looking, but I think Lindsey works better for how I pronounce the name Lind Zee.

Lindsey is the variant.  People argue on the spellings for each sex.  There is not a girl spelling and/or boy spelling.  All of the girls I know spell it Lindsay.

Lindsey. I always think Lindsay looks funny. Either way it's a great name - my longest-time friend is a Lindsay.

I've always preferred ey. I find myself pronouncing linzA the other way, and I don't like it, personally.

In the uk (where i am) there are about 8 legit spellings. Lindsay is the recognised male version of the name. It is common to see a y in place of the i too, it is also common to see no d - which is me. I am Linsey. I occasionally come across someone else with the same spelling, but I like that its not the most popular spelling.

My BFF of 15 years is Lyndsay, so that's how I spell it. I know that's not the traditional way, but all the other ways look wrong to me now. :p

    1. I had no idea Linds(e/a)y was a unisex name.
    2. I just don't like the name either way. It reminds me of lint. And Lindsay Lohan.

As a Lindsey, I prefer the E spelling. However, I've been told the A spelling is the feminine spelling, while the E version is the masculine spelling.

Whichever way you spell it, you'll always field the "E or A?" question.  But either way, a nice solid girls name.  :)

Well, my name isn't pronounced Lind-say.  That's why it's spelled Lindsey.

Well, as a Lindsay, I can tell you that 9 times out of 10, if i don't tell people how to spell my name, it gets spelled with an E.

I prefer my spelling but TBH my life would be easier if I spelled my name Lindsey.
