Hi ladies! My 1 month old DD born at 35weeks is having trouble with my breasts so we are pumping and bottle feeding and also supplementing several bottles a day with formula. My question is how much should she be eating? When I was EBF it was 15min on each side and I would often have to rub her to keep her awake. I just want to make sure I'm not over/under feeding her. She typically eats 2.5 to 3oz and sometimes I can get her to eat 4...... TIA!!

DD was also BF and supplemented with formula. I would BF first (she was a quick eater and never spent more than 15 minutes TOTAL!), then give her a 2oz ready to feed bottle after. It was off and on like that for the first 7 weeks, then we became EBF.
When she started daycare at 14 weeks, she would get 3oz bottles of BM every 3 hours. If I didn't pump enough, she would get some formula to make the bottles 3oz. She slowly went up to 4oz around 8ish months. She never went more than 4oz every 3 hours until we weaned from bottles.
I did notice that other kids her age in her daycare would sometimes drink anywhere up to 8oz! It really just depends on the kid. I also noticed that babies who are FF tend to drink more oz as they get older.
I read somewhere that BM changes as LO gets older to meet the needs of the growing baby so they don't need to increase the amount of BM as much or as quickly as FF fed babies.

This exactly. Jackson is almost 8 months and still typically drinks 4 to 5 oz every 3 hours. He won't consume more than that at a time
