My DD is 13 months old and we are STILL having diaper issues. We originally wanted to go as organic as possible so we started with Seventh Generation when she was born. We didn't like them much so we switched to Huggies Pure and Natural. We kept having troubles with blowouts so we switched to Pampers. Alas, we still had troubles with leaks and relented to having her wear the overnights all of the time which are big and bulky. I know it probably sounds ridiculous to have her in overnights all of the time, but we were so sick of her leaking through. Our latest troubles is that every time she rides in her car seat and poops, it leaks through and we have to tear her car seat apart and wash everything. We relented to putting pads underneath her, and it still leaks through. Ugh, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Re: Diaper issues
My question is same as pp...have you tried going up a size? My DD is breastfed so LOTS of blowouts in her first year, and when we experienced leaks, we knew it was time to go up a size. Have only used Pampers Swaddlers and now she's in Cruisers and have not had any issues.
The only other thing I can think of is that the diaper is on too tight (ie- might be right size, but might be "buckled" too tight)- any leaks we had were when either myself or DH latched the diaper too tight...the only way for the liquid/solid to go was up and out! LOL

absolutely go to cloth! Used to have tons and tons of blowouts and had almost zero after switching to cloth around 3 months. Love cloth for that!
Like the pp, said try using cloth diapers.CD hold the poo way better than disposables,I have never experience any blowouts or leak.if you need suggestions for different types of cloths diapers go to the cloth diaper board all the laydies are very helpful.
good luck.
FWIW, I don't use cloth, but have many friends who do and have told me that they have issues with leaks overnight.
Are you using the Baby Dry or Extra Protection Pampers? We started DS with Swaddlers Sensitive and then switched to Baby Dry when he was a little older, and we really haven't had many issues. An occasional blowout or overnight leak, but for the most part, the Baby Dry have been great and they are not bulky at all.
Also, I've heard that Huggies are better for girls, so maybe try a different style of those?
