TTCAL Check-in

***Ticker warning***

Mrs Nice is off on Vacation.

Welcome to TTCAL CheckIn!

I hope I can find you all well and positive this week! Please don't be shy in asking the PGAL/PAL ladies questions if you have them. Lots of baby dust on all of you!

Where are you in your TTCAL journey?

Do you have any relevant appointments upcoming?

QOTW: Are you temping/charting, or are you "going with the flow" in your TTCAL journey? Does this differ from the first (or other) times you TTC?

Open Topic. What is on your mind this week?

  • Where are you in your TTCAL journey?
    cycle 2 CD 7
Do you have any relevant appointments upcoming?
Nope  but will be starting metformin soon
QOTW: Are you temping/charting, or are you "going with the flow" in your TTCAL journey? Does this differ from the first (or other) times you TTC?

I am charting, and using OPK this cycle. I'm very serious about getting KU, and was last time but didn't really feel the urgency like I do this time.

Open Topic. What is on your mind this week?

I want to be KU...I hope this is my cycle.

  • Where are you in your TTCAL journey? Cycle 2, CD 18 (haven't ovulated yet  this cycle... sigh)

Do you have any relevant appointments upcoming?  None

QOTW: Are you temping/charting, or are you "going with the flow" in your TTCAL journey? Does this differ from the first (or other) times you TTC? I'm charting and this cycle is the first time I've ever used OPKs.  With DD1 I was charting to avoid and we "magically" got pregnant (seriously, if you look at my chart, it's unbelievable that I got pregnant that cycle).  With DD2, I was on the mini pill and apparently it didn't work.  So this is the first time we've ever actually tried to conceive.  Of course, now I'm worried that now that we're trying it won't actually happen for us.

Open Topic. What is on your mind this week? TTC is stressful!  I'm trying not to stress, but it's really hard not to.  I'm kind of a control freak, so I'm trying my best to "go with the flow," but realistically, it's taking all my sanity not to be a total basket case about TTC.  I'm especially worried that I'm going to be a nervous wreck my entire next pregnancy if I get KU.

I am keeping track by charting the changes in cm. I haven't done this charting before so I am very nervous that I will jinx myself.

Testing, I am so nervous that it will not work and I will have the pain again worsen like it does every time.

  • Where are you in your TTCAL journey? Day 20

Do you have any relevant appointments upcoming?  Nope

QOTW: Are you temping/charting, or are you "going with the flow" in your TTCAL journey? Does this differ from the first (or other) times you TTC?
I have bought a OPK and will start using it the next cycle.  With our DD1 we just went with the flow and got pregnant after 3 months.  But this time I feel more of an urgency and want to be pregnant right away, so I thought we would try the OPK just to make sure we do it at the optimum time.

Open Topic. What is on your mind this week? Excited about trying again in approximately 18 days!  At the same time I'm scared about actually getting pregnant again.  I hope I can keep my sanity during the next pregnancy and take time to relish in it and cherish every moment that I do get with my baby.

  • Where are you in your TTCAL journey?

CD 18 and it doesn't look like I have O'd yet

Do you have any relevant appointments upcoming?

No, just my regular acupuncture appointment and I also need to re-do some blood work.

QOTW: Are you temping/charting, or are you "going with the flow" in your TTCAL journey? Does this differ from the first (or other) times you TTC?

I am temping/charting, it makes me feel like I have some control over things.  We just went with the flow with my first two pregnancies, but after Stella died I started charging because I needed something to focus on, I guess.

Open Topic. What is on your mind this week?

Just hoping I O soon, and hoping I get a "good" egg.  I'll be testing while I'm away on vacation, so that's making me nervous.

  • Question about TTCAL--DH & I are thinking about taking that next step. I decided to lurk a bit on the TTCAL board, but I'm not sure that I feel like I belong there. Seems a lot of the losses are early MC type losses? Not that I'm trying to down play that at all, but I've had an early loss and now my loss of Astrid and they definitely feel different for me. Anyone have any input on that board as far as TTCALateLoss goes? or do would you recommend staying here? I'm just nervous I think.
