4th of July Visitation?

In our state guidelines it states that the NCP is to have children from 6pm on the 3rd to 10am on the 5th.

It doesn't specify if it is that same parents weekend if they can still come and get the children for the regular weekend visit.

When I went through this years, it was explained to me by my attorney that it would just all run together as one visit. I am now confused as it isn't specified in the PTG.

Anyone? TIA

Re: 4th of July Visitation?

  • mine states it a little more clearly, but if it falls on their weekend, it's considered a part of their weekend and in this holiday's case would be an extended weekend. Otherwise, if it is their year to get them on that holiday, then they get them that weekend and the weekends before and after the holiday wekeend. Unless of course the parents agree to different arrangements or change in schedule.

  • Thank you. That was what I was thinking, I thought that made more sense than BM returning SD's this morning(If she were to have had SD's in the first place) and picking back up this evening. DH is now p!ssed at me bc it's a huge partying weekend and DH thinks SD's should go so He won't get in trouble, even though it doesn't have to be a holiday for BM to party.

BM said she is coming regardless so I suggested DH let them play in the yard or something as she would be wasting her gas money.
