how long should i defrost bread?

i completely forgot to pull it out of the freezer this morning. ?so i need to defrost it in the microwave. ?it's a good sized loaf of rosemary olive oil bread... yummy!

I wouldnt put it in the micro. set your oven temp to low and warm it that way while you make dinner.

I would wrap it in foil and put it in your oven frozen. I do it all the time with a sourdough loaf we buy at Target. The size we get only takes about 15 minutes at 400 and will be crunchy on the outside but soft and hot in the middle. Obviously for a big ole loaf, I'd go a little longer.

Leave it out for about an hour and the few slices on each end will be defrosted.  The middle will obviously take longer.  If you turn your oven on to 350 or so and just leave the loaf on top that will help a lot but not make it soggy like sticking it in the microwave would.  Enjoy!

I'm with the crowd who would just pop it into the oven in foil, then give it a few minutes without foil if you want a crispy crust.  I do it all the time straight out of the freezer and don't defrost any other way.  Not sure how long it will take in the oven--just check on it every now and then.
