Mobile Bumpers: Don't eff with me, Mother Nature

The city is having a free outdoor concert tonight so I decided to surprise the girls with a picnic for dinner (DD1 has been begging for a picnic for weeks now). It's stupid hot and humid out there today but I know the girls are gonna be thrilled, so I sweated my butt off in the kitchen. (Don't laugh - whoever coined the phrase "it's no picnic" clearly never prepared one - this be a lot of work, yo)

The forecast is now calling for thunderstorms "late this afternoon or early this evening". I'm gonna be so p!ssed if the rain ruins my picnic plans.

Well I'll be damned. The rain held off until much later in the night, so we were able to enjoy our picnic and the concert. Even better, there was a light wind blowing so it actually was very comfortable outside

Glad your picnic turned out! Dd1 loves picnics, but I know what you mean about the work to pack one!
