Final Update on my Boss

A little more back story not in the OP - my boss lived in state A where the BM & his DS still live. Boss met his now DW, who had 2 DS's. Then, Boss & his DW married, and had a DS of their own. Both my boss and his DW had 50/50 with their X's.

Boss worked for our company in state A, and then when they opened the office in our state, Boss was offered a promotion, and after much thought he accepted. Boss, his DW, and his youngest DS moved to our state, and left behind Boss's older DS and his DW's 2 DS's. They had their boys every break though, and skyped constantly.

Anyway, after Boss's 14 yo DS got into some legal trouble, it really hit home for him that his son needed him. The office found out earlier this week that Boss accepted a position (a promotion for him) for another company back in State A to be closer to his DS and to get his wife back to her DS's.

It was a sad day at the office when we found out Boss was leaving, he was teary eyed as was his boss, and many coworkers. I'm sad to see my boss go, but I know he's making the best choice for his family, and I know all the kids in that BF will be better off now that they'll be with their siblings more and with both parents more.

I'm sorry for you that you are losing a good boss you are close to and like, but so happy for his family. Hopefully it will help his son get the help and support he needs.
