magnetic chalkboard

Has anyone created a magnetic chalkboard in their nursery?  I thought it would be cool when they get a bit older to put pics and magnetic letters, but I've heard the magnetic paint doesn't work the best.  Thoughts?

You can get magnetic pans and use those with magnetic letters (but magnets would be a choking hazard for quite a while)

Not magnetic, but I just did a chalkboard wall in his playroom with chalkboard paint and it came out AWESOME!

Did you make it a color or traditional black?  Take a picture please!

Definitely, figured we'd put the magnets up high enough they can't reach until they're over putting everything in their mouth!  Could always put them away until they're able to play with them safely as well.

We didnt do it in the nursery but we have one in the kitchen.  I bought a frame that i liked, went to home depot and they cut a metal sheet to the size that I needed, went home and painted it with chalkboard paint and then put it in the frame.  Viola!
