IUI this weekend

Ok, I'm so super nervous!  My DH and I have finally started the process and I've completed everything I need to actually be inseminated.  I go in Friday to see if I'm ovulating and my doctor says I'll probably be inseminated on Saturday!  I'm so nervous! 

 

Has anyone gone through this process before and have some good stories to help me feel better?  Does it hurt?  What did you do after but before you found out if it worked or not?   Oh and if you had to give yourself the shot in your stomach, does it hurt?

    We used IUI. No, it didn't hurt... not any more than a pap test anyway... just a little pinch. I had to lay on my back for about 20 mins right after and then I just on with business as usual. I think they said to have sex every day for a few days after too.

    My husband had to give me shots in the stomach. Yes, it pinched a little... but having a baby hurts. Needles hurt, childbirth and being pregnant aren't comfortable; but the end result is amazing and worth it all.
