Hey there!
I heard on the radio this morning, a woman called in to tell the radio personality that her daughter had named her newborn baby with the radio personality's FN & LN as the baby's FN & MN. The name was "Jack Elliot," so I think it was a coincidence, as both are perfectly valid names and sound great in combination. However, it was pointed out to her that this was the name of a very (locally) famous radio personality before the baby was born.
Just as a conversation starter, would you knowingly name your child after a local personality, even if it was just a coincidence? Why would it (not) bother you? And....go!
Re: WWBND?
I don't think it would bother me too much if it were just the guy on the radio or a local news anchor or something like that. The news anchor would move to another job and my kid probably won't always live in the same city.
I would probably take it into account if the person were locally famous for being a murderer or something.
Baby Name Popularity by State
Interestingly, there is a local DJ named Reagan and that name is significantly higher on the SSA list for my state than it is for the US in general.
It probably would give me slight pause, but if I loved the name I would use it.
DH and I briefly discussed the name Marie Claire-- and although not a local celebrity-- H and I did discuss out loud if we thought giving a child the same names a national magazine would be an issue.
We decided it did not bother us, but discarded the name for other reasons.

Local celebrity, probably would bother me too much. Two names we wanted to use were Nolan and Ryan. After discussing having a Nolan Ryan, we decided it is not what we wanted. So we saved Ryan for our next boy.
Edit...my ipad won't let me. That should say "wouldn't," not would.

Yes, esp if it was a name as common as your example.
Lots of people have certain names. I'm not going to let a random local celebrity deter me
If it were a local celebrity I probably wouldn't worry about it.
I won't name this baby George Michael because that would be too WHAM! to everyone he meets, but if that were just a local celebrity I would do it. Even local celebrities have their 15 min of fame end and the child may not live in the area forever.
Jack Elliott could be anybody...I wouldn't let that sway my decision.
If the local personality was more widely known I may change my mind.
