So I wasn't going to post a HDBD pic today. It's a sad day at our house. In about an hour, we're taking one of our dogs to the vet to be euthanized. He has a tumor in his upper jaw that unfortunately progresses very rapidly and is fatal. So I wasn't feeling much like getting dressed. But then I thought, why not take a pic with him? So here it is, me and Austen. I'm 25w2d, and he's about 9 years old. He's a good boy, and I'm going to miss him very much.

 I'm sort of cheating today. This is me at 23.5 weeks but I look awful today and really don't feel like taking a picture of myself. (And clearly from the background we've been working on cleaning/organization at home!)

How far along? 25w

Weight loss/gain: Never telling

Symptoms: Indigestion, insomnia, reflux

Sleep: Pretty bad, could be worse

Best moment this week? Baby is so much more active!

Sex of baby: Unknown

Name of baby: Henry or Scarlett (at least right now)

Food cravings: Anything sweet

Belly button in or out? Still in

Baby movement? Yes, a lot more this week

What I miss? Red wine and margaritas

What I'm looking forward to? Mini vacation with DH this weekend

What I'm nervous about: Hmm...nothing right now.

Symptoms: Lower back pain and super fun constipation

Sleep: It's way too hot for that, so the answer is "No"

Best moment this week? When it was 32C INSIDE MY HOUSE last night... not.

When I got a slurpee and accidentally made it a rainbow. Watching my boys play together because they're freaking adorable together.

Sex of baby: Boy!

Name of baby: Oliver

Food cravings: Coca cola and sweet things.

Belly button in or out? Out and proud.

Baby movement: He punched the doppler at my appointment yesterday + lots of cervix jabs, kicks and rolls.

 What I miss: Ice. Cold. Beer. Patio: optional. 

What I'm looking forward to?: Halloween and my baby sized Yoda, and seeing how DS2 will be as a big brother.

What I'm nervous about: That I'll never have enough energy to conquer laundry mountain before October.

Or the haunting idea that my ex will unintentionally steal my baby name and DS1 will have two half brothers with the same name. (This fear is completely unfounded and irrational. I don't even know if his girlfriend is having a boy or a girl or if she's still pregnant... I just know that she was KU at Christmas and was due this summer)

Sleep: terrible for some reason. i wake up at 4 to pee and can never go back to sleep. ugh.

Best moment this week?  kicks getting stronger and stronger!

Baby movement: tons this week - no longer just at night or in the morning! makes me so happy since i have an anterior placenta and it took forever to feel those first ones!

 What I miss: sushi. and energy - the heat really takes it out of me these days 

What I'm looking forward to? fetal echo on Friday - can't wait to see how he's grown!  And our babymoon - heading to Seattle for a long weekend next week

What I'm nervous about: Labor, and lack of sleep

What I'm nervous about: NBR- The dog fight that happened between my pups last night did result in a wound to one of them. She's much better today but I have to keep an eye for infection. Debating a vet visit but she has high anxiety and the vet totally freaks her out. More like sitting in a waiting room full of other dogs and strangers that freaks her out.

If you posted I totally missed it. If not, your pups were fighting each other? Wounded one ok? Mine never have (boxers) and for whatever reason, my female whupped up on the male last week. Had him pinned to the ground - NOT playing. He wound up bleeding from a cut lip. We have no idea what started it but they seem ok now.

Ya I posted about it last night. For some reason my female got sassy with my male and a serious fight broke out. Me and H were trying to rip it apart. I stupidly got bit (I'm ok. Just a few tooth marks and a bruised hand). I thought both pups were ok but then my female started limping a lot. Then I saw the puncture wound. Luckily I had some codeine left over from one of their past surgeries. I gave her one and she slept like a baby. She wanted NOTHING to do with him last night even though that sassy b'tch started it. Today she is running around no limp and just wants to play with her brother. So i'll just keep cleaning it and watch for infection. This was her last night. Poor snuggle bug. Followed me around all night. Just wanted her mommy LOL

 

Wow - scary but I'm glad everything is ok today. Wonder what's up with these puppers. My two were similar - she started it and then acted mad at him!
