Babies on the Brain

New here...

Hi there! I'm new to The Bump (obviously by my title, duh, self), and I'm not really sure where to begin, so I'm just going to start here! Myself and my partner have, as of a few months ago, decided that we want to try and have a baby! Such a wonderful, momentous thing sex is when you aren't using protection. But now after trying to conceive and failing miserably at it, it's not fun anymore! I know it can take a healthy couple months and months to get pregnant, but I'm going to be straight up with my feelings here.. IT SUCKS! So basically, my long gibber-gabber back story has lead me here: How do you cope with those couple of weeks after you do the deed, before you take the test or miss your period? I feel like it's all I think about these days...

Re: New here...

  • Hi! You might want to check out the Trying To Get Pregnant board. The ladies there are really knowledgeable, and supportive. You might want to lurk there for a while before you post.

They also have a great Newbie blog full of great info:

They will also recommend checking out Fertility Friend, and the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility.

Welcome and good luck to you!
