Just didn't want to hijack the WWYD thread below any further :)

If I switch hospitals I would have to switch doctors and I have had the same doctor since I was 16.  I have been going back and forth on it and have become kind of obsessed with having a VBAC.  I know I can do it and it makes me so irritated that some hospital's rules say I can't!  I have an appointment tomorrow and I want to ask my doctor about putting off the c-section and how he feels about it.  I just pray for once I go into labor before 40 weeks!

You can always keep going to him for well-woman care. There is seriously no logical reason to not have a VBAC if you've had *multiple* vaginal births previously! Maybe you can reach some agreement where you have an under-the-table VBAC with him (i.e. you show up pushing).

DS2 - Oct 2010 (my VBAC baby!)

  • I am going to talk to him tomorrow and see what he is willing to do. I'm hoping he will work with me considering how long I have gone to him and that he knows my history. Hopefully I will have a positive VBAC story of my own to post!! Reading all the support and stories on this board is inspiring;
