I am delivering at Kennestone and I was wondering if any of you ladies delivered there and had any suggestions on pediatricians that are affiliated with that hospital? Thanks!

I have had 2 c/s here and wouldn't deliver anywhere else in Atlanta.  The c/s experience was wonderful- the baby never left my sight and I was nursing within 30 minutes of birth with a LC at my side both times.  My only complaint was that they didn't have a real nursery so the baby had to room in with me.  Most of the time this was fine, but there were a few occasions when I really needed to sleep and couldn't.  I personally feel like you heal faster if you can send the baby to the nursery but I know not everyone feels that way.  DS ended up in the NICU here as well and again, nothing but good things to say about that.  For pediatrician, we see Dr. Greene at Kenmar but love all the doctors in this practice.

I love Kennestone.  Our original pedi was through Kennesaw Pediatrics but after 14 months we left because our favorite pedi left and I had issues with them continuing to prescribe antibiotics for an ear infection instead of referring us to an ENT.  Long story short we switched to Kenmar Pediatrics and see Dr. Kewin.  I absolutely love her.  She is a great pedi and I highly recommend the her and the practice.  

You may want to get a list of a couple you may want to use and call for a tour.  You can meet the doctors.  There are several with privileges at Kennestone.

I delivered there and have no complains. That was my only delivery so I obviously have nothing to compare to, but everyone there was nice and attentive. I will definitely be going back there in the future.

We see Dr. Sisk with Children's Physicians.

Also delivered there, I'm FTM, it was a good experience.  The nurses were very attentive and I was lucky enough to get the anesthesiologist who does really good epidurals. After delivery, all the post delivery nurses were very friendly and awesome.  They swaddle a baby like nobody's business so if you aren't sure how to do it, let them teach you how they do it.

We see Kennesaw Pediatrics, but haven't settled on one specific doctor yet.  We like them all so far.
