January 2014 Moms

Update on my appt yesterday

It went pretty well! I didn't get to have an ultrasound which I was bummed about considering I've had spotting since my last one, most likely from my SCH. But I did really enjoy meeting with my OB for the first time since getting pregnant. (been seeing a RE until now) He actually high-fived me for getting pregnant despite all odds. When I told him how low our post wash count was for our successful IUI he was stunned! Said he would have told me I might have only had a 2% chance of conceiving via IUI with that low of a sperm count. But I'm so over worrying about counts now!!!!

The good news is that he didn't think I was dehydrated yesterday, but told me the plan for if I think that happens again.  He also added yet another pill to my regime. Yay! Now I take Zofran twice a day, Reglan, 3 Colace,  B6, Progesterone cream (crinone), and prenatals. Hope this magic combo improves things. It can only go up from here! I'll be going back in two weeks because I get to stop my pregesterone (finally!!) and they want to confirm that my body is finally making its own. And I'll get an u/s then for sure!

  • Sorry about the u/s, but glad you like your OB, that is so important! Meanwhile, if you are still feeling sick, I'd ask about the half a unisom tablet at night, I know for me it has worked miracles. AND it helps me sleep better. Hooray for an u/s in 2 weeks, thats exciting!

Yes I actually tried  unisom and it made my body super tired and relaxed yet my mind was spinning in circles. I gave it three nights of the same result and then had to give it up.
