If we're home, I pretty much just have to say, "Let's go take a nap" at 10:30 and he goes down really easily. Sometimes it's not that easy. We eat lunch when he wakes up, usually sometime around 1:00.
If we're out and about, he'll usually fall asleep in the car, and I just transfer him to his crib when we get home and he finishes his nap.
So basically we have no routine except that nap time is around the same time every day if we are home.
Dds nap time depends on when she wakes up in the morning. She's tired and ready to nap about 4 hours after she wakes up in the morning normally between 121pm. And depending on when she sleeps she wakes up 23 hours later. So between 23pm she wakes up. She has lunch at 11. A cup of milk before napping. After her nap she has a snack. Then dinner at 5:30. Bath at 7:30. She sleeps at 8:15. It took awhile to get a routine that worked for her and me as well. The only downside is that noone knows her routine so her getting babysat is a mission lol. Good thing I'm a stay at home mom.
Re: Nap time
The in home daycare we go to does "quiet/nap" time from 12-2 every day.
We just started mimicking that and it is working GREAT! I don't know why we were trying to do our own thing.
We aren't super rigid with schedules, but ideally we do lunch around 11 and try to chill her out by 12 or 1, so she naps from roughly 12-2 or 1-3.
