painful BM (TMI sorry)

I had a c-section 11 days ago.  On day 4 I started to have pretty normal BMs.  Everything about my recovery has been pretty easy, I'm even off pain meds at this point.

Yesterday when I went to the bathroom it was burning and difficult to pass, and the same thing happened today and I felt like I couldn't get it all out without being in terrible pain.  My stomach doesn't hurt and everything else is fine.  Is it c-section related?  I'm confused because I didn't have any BM problems throughout my pregnancy, or for the first week of recovery, and I eat a ton of fruits and vegetables.

What should I do?  I go back to the doctor tomorrow, what should I expect?  I've never had a rectal exam before

This happened to me. After my c section my bms were perfectly normal. I wasn't advised to take Colace or anything of the sort. After about 8-9 days I had my first painful bm. It didn't burn. It felt like I was being stabbed in the bottom. (TMI) It hurt so bad I would lift up off of the toilet and cry out. It stopped by day 12ish. I figured it was just gas build up from the surgery. Call your doc and see what they say just to be safe. They may want you to take something for it.

Have you been taking stool softeners? Hormonal changes (just like with pregnancy), iv meds and pain meds can stop you up or make it difficult to go.

Ouch that happened to me after my last csection. Did they give you stool softeners? If so use them.

I had my c-section last Friday (6.28) and the same thing started happening to me yesterday. I have had lots of pressure and pain down there, it also hurts like crazy to go.  My first time going was Monday and that one was pretty normal. I have been taking iron since Sunday as I am anemic, so I am thinking it's from that?
