Baby Names

Thoughts?

Just starting tossing around ideas for DD #2 and looking for some thoughts.  DD#1 is Onika (Ona for short) and we like feminine names.  What do you think of these?

Emerie Claire

Neva Claire

Karis (middle name ?)  Love the meaning of this one ("to love and be loved)

I love Avery and Ava but they are just too popular right now.

Re: Thoughts?

  • I think Claire is nice
  • I really like Karis with Onika.

I have seen it spelled Carys, and I think I prefer that spelling, just my two cents.

  • I'd go with Emery or Carys for spellings. Neva is actually nice for an unusual name.

    How about Eve? or Elena?

I agree with the spelling part. Carys just looks better to me. I think Emerie is too cutesy compared to Onika. Other ideas-  Clarice, Leta, Nina, Nola, Willa, Amalia, or Brynn

  • I really do like Carys as a spelling...just wasn't sure if someone who had never seen the name would know how it was pronounced.  I do like Eve or Eva but haven't convinced DH to add them to the list.

  • just thinking...Ava is another one of those names that seems to have sky rocketed on the charts, but I have never actually met a little Ava. Maybe it varies by region.

If you like feminine names, skip Emerie.  It's a misspelling of Emery, which is masculine.

I like Carys, but spelled correctly.

This.  I like Claire, too, but feel it's almost as popular as Ava.  Carys is one of my favorites and uncommon.
